This course is designed for individuals who would like to obtain a basic understanding of the employee termination process. Whether voluntarily or involuntarily terminated employees have rights and employers have responsibilities. What needs to be paid (Wages, bonuses, commissions), what notices need to be supplied, what can an employer collect back from an employee? These questions will be discussed along with the COBRA requirements and unemployment follow-up. We will discuss best practices and necessary internal controls in the termination process.
